VECTOR-BORNE DISEASES (VBDS) REMAIN A SERIOUS HEALTH RISK IN AFRICA. The vectors that carry disease are profoundly affected by the climate and other environmental conditions. These conditions are changing fast in Africa. In some contexts, particularly in dryland ecologies, vector-borne diseases change dramatically in their intensity and distribution. This programme seeks to examine what is likely to happen where, and how to help communities adapt to what the future will bring.
