Project mid-term feedback workshop for stakeholders in Korhogo

The project held a mid-term feedback workshop in Korhogo from 30th to 31st July, 2015. The purpose of this workshop was to present the main preliminary results of the research to all the project’s stakeholders in order to discuss resulting solutions and recommendations for community resilience to malaria and schistosomiasis.

The workshop was attended by over 150 participants from Switzerland, Mauritania, Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire. In Côte d’Ivoire, representatives of the local community, local decision makers (Mayor, Prefect, Regional Council), national malaria and schistosomiasis control programmes, the Ministry of Environment, the United Nations Environmental Programme’s (UNEP) regional representative, researchers, and other technical partners such as NGOs attended the two day meeting. A team from the World Health Organization (WHO), who were visiting the research project, also attended also the workshop.
