New post-graduate students recruited

For the second year of the project, two master’s students and one PhD student were enrolled in the project after a call for master’s positions two months ago. Two students, one in Mauritania and one in Côte d’Ivoire, will help collect and analyse historical meteorological and health data. The third student will study vector and intermediate host dynamics during the rice cultivation period in Mauritania.
The three students’ research topics are:
- Ms Moussokoro Sidibé, associate PhD student in Mauritania: Impact of rice cultivation on the epidemiology of malaria and schistosomiasis in Kaedi (South Mauritania)
- Mr Cheikh Med Mahmoud, master’s student in Mauritania: Climate variability, ecosystem characterisation and the dynamics of malaria and schistosomiasis in Kaedi (South Mauritania)
- Mr Soro Pewonheta Dramane, master’s student in Côte d’Ivoire: Climate variability, ecosystem characterisation and the dynamics of malaria and schistosomiasis in Korhogo (North Côte d’Ivoire)
